Set in the town of Wels, near Linz, over several days in July, in addition to your tournament matches there will be time to enjoy the stunning scenery and mountains of the region as well as the special local hospitality. Tours to the Upper Austria Cup also allow great sightseeing possibilities in Salzburg and Vienna, as well as over the border to the German city of Munich Wels is a town with about 60,000 inhabitants. It is on a direct route between Salzburg and Vienna. It is a safe, clean und tourist-friendly town that also has numerous sports- und cultural attractions. It is catering facilities are renowned in the whole area. Not far from Wels lies the picturesque Salzkammergut that is a very popular destination due to its mountains and its 5 lakes
Tournament Format
· The tournament starts with group matches. Groups are divided into 4 - 5 teams and will meet in a round robin series (all teams play one another). · The first two or three teams advance to the next stage and will play in the finals. Teams that have already been
eliminated have the possibility to play each other in some interesting friendly matches.
· The Upper Austria Cup is played in accordance to the rules and regulations of the FIFA and those of the
Austrian Football Association The team manager has to make sure that the players are insured during the
matches and the leisure time and he or she is also responsible for them.
Tournament Facilities
Age Dispensation
Matches, squads and substitutions
· Group matches of classes A, B, C, D, E, F and the class J: - 2 x 25 min.
· Group matches of classes G, H, I: - 2 x 20 min
· Finals of classes A, B, C, D, E,F and the class J: - 2 x 30 minutes
· Finals of classes G, H, I: - 2 x 25 min.
There is no limit on the amount of players participating from one given team. However only 16 players are allowed to be used per match in
the classes A to F and J. Therefore only a maximum of 5 substitutions are allowed to be used in a given match. In the classes G, H, I - there
are only allowed a maximum of 5 substitutions as well.
Accommodation

· Schools, each team has a designated classroom
