This fantastic international soccer tournament was created for girls and boys aged 10-20 and features participating teams from 20-25 nations, Hillerod is located in a beautiful area north of Copenhagen, and matches will be played at Hillerod Stadium which offers excellent green grass fields and excellent fields. Some tournament activities take place at Frederiksburg Castle, which was elected as one of the most beautiful castles in Europe in 1998. Some of the countries participating last year included Belgium, Cyprus, Ghana, Holland, Iceland, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Nigeria, Norway, Romania, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda, United States and Denmark. Participants of this popular tournament are offered a host of interesting recreational activities as well. Every night there will be a discotheque for the players. For team leaders there will be entertainment at the Tivoli Cup Café and a party, hosted by the local authorities, held at beautiful Frederiksborg Castle. Furthermore, all participants have free entry to the Tivoli amusement park in Copenhagen
 
Tournament Format
Teams which are defeated in the preliminary rounds will go on to the Wiibroe Cup in which matches will be played according to the cup system. The Wiibroe Cup will start when the preliminary rounds in Tivoli Cup are finished. No 1-2 in group rounds will go on to intermediary rounds in the Tivoli Cup, while the rest will go on to the Wiibroe Cup.
 
Tournament Facilities
Matches will be played at Hillerod Stadium which offers excellent green grass fields and excellent facilities.
 
Age Dispensation
Dispensation will automatically be given to 2 players per team who are maximum one year older than the age class admit. In classes B16, G11, G13 and G15 teams from countries that still use the 1st of August-limit (mainly USA and England) may also use players 5 months older than the age class admit.
 
Matches, squads and substitutions
· Age categories B-19, B-18, B-16, B-15, B-14, G-17, G-15, and Ladies open will play halves of 25 minutes
· Age categories B-13, B-12, B-11, G-13, G-11 will play 20 minute halves
· Categories B11 and G11 are 7a-side teams
· A maximum of 5 substitutes per match are permitted
 
Accommodation
· Standard accommodation for participants is provided at schools in Hillerød. There is normally one classroom per team. The schools will be supervised 24 hours a day. Participants should bring a sleeping bag and an airbed, but these can also be rented at the schools if preferred. Breakfast will be served at the schools.
· Accommodation at a good 3-star hotel close to the town centre. All rooms are en-suite and have a TV and telephone. Most rooms are double rooms, but there are also a limited number of 4-bed rooms. Breakfast is served in the hotel’s restaurant
· Accommodation at the youth hostel in Hillerød; an excellent youth hostel situated close to the town centre in beautiful surroundings. There are good bathroom and toilet facilities at the youth hostel. Breakfast is served at the youth hostel.
· Hillerød Camping offers accommodation in cabins. This is an excellent campsite close to the centre of Hillerød with plenty of room for tents and mobile homes. Ideal for accompanying parents, but teams have also stayed at the campsite.
   
Leisure Activities

· Team Leaders Party
· Every evening Tuesday to Friday between 7 pm and 9 pm, Hillerød’s modern swimming pool will be open to Tivoli Cup guests with free entry. This 
  swimming pool has several water chutes and diving platforms as well as pool toys and a sauna. Trained lifeguards will be in place at all times.
· Every evening Tuesday to Friday between 7 pm and 11 pm, the disco will be open to Tivoli Cup guests. This is a youth disco which will be professionally
  supervised.
· It is traditional for the Mayor of Hillerød to invite the team leaders to a special party. This party is held on Friday evening at 8 pm and two leaders per
  team have free entry. Good Danish food will be served, and there will be entertainment as well as a raffle with superb prizes.
· It is traditional for the leaders of foreign teams to play a select team of leaders from Hillerød on Wednesday evening. This is normally an entertaining
  match, and everyone has a good laugh and the team leaders get to show how difficult the game of football actually is.
· Every evening Monday to Friday, a team leaders’ pub gathering will be arranged in the large food tent at the stadium.
