Tournament Overview
The Easter Cup (Formerly the Holland Easter Classic) is regarded as Europe’s leading international Easter soccer tournament. Your team is invited to participate in the 23rd annual Easter Classic featuring more than 250-300 teams from 12 countries. The tournament features 25 grass fields spread over different locations in the medieval town of Haarlem and it’s surrounding villages. Being located only 15 minutes west of Amsterdam gives participating teams the opportunity to visit the capital of Netherlands and its many sights. Activities will include a Team Leader/Coaches Reception, Disco and Barbecue Party. The sea with its marvelous beaches (Zandvoort) and dunes can be found only a few kilometers distance from the city of Haarlem.

Tournament Format
All teams play a minimum of 6 games spread over the Saturday and Sunday. In the first round all teams play in groups of 4 or 5 teams. All teams in 1 group play against each other once on the Saturday. On Sunday the second round starts. The teams that qualify as number 1 or 2 in the 1st round groups will play in the 2nd round -A-. All other teams from the 1st round will play in the 2nd round -B-. Again all teams are placed in groups of 4 or 5 teams and play each other once. The 2nd round group winners play the (semi-) finals. The tournament organization reserves the right (if needed) to make adjustments to the above mentioned tournament format. It is possible to obtain permission for age dispensation. Age dispensation should be applied for in writing and the application must be confirmed by the organization before March 1, 2010. Dispensation players can never be more than 6 months too old. A maximum of 3 dispensation players is allowed to play per game. Due to different age deadlines - handled by national soccer associations - the tournament committee may grant special dispensations to teams/players involved. The official dispensation confirmation for the dispensation players must be shown on request of the tournament committee or referee at any time during the tournament. All committees on all fields where the games take place know the names of the dispensation players. Age groups 01 to 06 play with 11-a-side teams matches of 2 x 15 minutes. The 11-a-side teams may fill out 20 players per playing day on the game-form. Age groups 07 to 09 play on half-size fields with 7-a-side teams matches of 2 x 10 minutes. The 7-a-side teams may fill out 15 players per day on the game-form. Substitution will be allowed during natural stoppage of the match at the referee’s discretion. For teams playing in age groups 01 to 07, a number of 5 substitutes per game is allowed. Players who are substituted in a game cannot be brought into action in that same game again. You may use 20 players per team per playing day. 7-a-side teams (age groups 08 to 10): Players are allowed to go on and off the field as much as they want, but only on the referee’s signal. You may use 15 players per playing day.
