Regarded as one of Europe’s leading summer international tournaments, the 25th annual Haarlem Cup will welcome about 300 teams from more than 25 countries. More than 140,000 soccer players from more than 70 different countries participated in the last 23 editions of the tournament. The tournament matches are played on 35 first class grass fields in the medieval towns of Haarlem and Heemstede, a short drive west of Amsterdam and close to sandy beaches. Activities include the Coca-Cola Beach Party, opening ceremony, Soccer Village, use of training fields, and local sightseeing excursions.
 
The medieval towns of Haarlem and Heemstede are located only 15 minutes west of Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands. Every 10 minutes trains go from Haarlem to Amsterdam. Only 10 minutes east the sandy beaches of Zandvoort can be found. 
 
Tournament Format
All teams play a guaranteed minimum of 6 tournament games. 
First Round: All teams will play in groups of 4, 5 or 6 teams. All teams in 1 group play against each other once on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Second Round: Teams that qualify as number 1 or 2 of the 1st round groups will play in the 2nd round -A-. All other teams play in the 2nd round -B-. Again all teams are placed in groups of 4, 5 or 6 teams and play each other once on Thursday and Friday.
Finals: The group winners in the 2nd round -A- as well as -B- may play quarterfinals and/or semi-finals on Friday or Saturday to determine who will play the big -A- or -B- final on Saturday July 26th. 
 
Tournament Facilities
The tournament will be played on 35 first class grass soccer pitches as well as new FIFA approved artificial grass pitches, spread over 10 different locations. All your matches on one day are played on one and the same location.
 
Age Dispensation
It is possible to obtain permission for age dispensation. Age dispensation should be applied for in writing and the application must be confirmed by the organization before June 15th, 2008. Dispensation players can never be more than 6 months too old. A total of 3 dispensation players per game are allowed. Due to different age deadlines - handled by national associations - the committee may grant special dispensations for teams/players involved. Official dispensation confirmation for the dispensation players must be shown on request of the tournament committee / referee at any time during the tournament.
 
Matches, squads and substitutions
Age groups 1-A19, 2-B17, 3-C15, 4-C14, 8-G17 and 9-G15 will play 20 minute halves per match.
Age groups 5-D13, 6-E11 and 7-F09 will play 15 minute halves per match.
 
Substitution will be allowed during natural stoppage of the match at the referee’s discretion. Players who are substituted in a game cannot be brought into action in that same game again, a maximum of 5 substitutions are allowed per game per team (not appl. to groups 5, 6 & 7 who use unlimited subs). All 11-a-side teams may fill out 20 players per day on the game form. 7-a-side teams play on half-size fields and may fill out 15 players per day.

Class 1. A19 Boys born in 1989 or later
Class 2. B17 Boys born in 1991 or later
Class 3. C15 Boys born in 1993 or later
Class 4. C14 Boys born in 1994 or later
Class 5. D13 Boys & Girls born in 1995 or later
Class 6. E11 Boys & Girls born in 1997 or later (7-aside)
Class 7. Girls under 17 born after 01-01-1991
Class 8. Girls under 15 born after 01-01-1993
