in the center of Barcelona, this tournament utilizes a variety of grass and turf fields while featuring over 100 teams from all over Europe.
Under the setting of one of the world’s most influential soccer cities, activities include tournament festivities, ceremonies and stadium
visits combined with the unlimited sightseeing opportunities of Barcelona and the Costa Brava beach resorts!
Tournament format
Groups of 4 teams will play matches in a group stage. The 1st and 2nd classified of each group proceed to the champions phase. The
3rd and 4th classified proceed to the consolation phase.
Tournament Facilities
One of the main highlights of the Barcelona Cup is its sport facilities. The facilities of the Futbol Club Barcelona and the sports city of
the Real Club Deportivo Espanol, as well as fields from other national category teams of Barcelona are used during the tournament. All
of these are located with the city of Barcelona. All are grass, whether artifical or natural and many of them are certified by the FIFA for
international games.

Matches, squads and substitutions
· 11 a-side categories can consist of 18 players with 7 changes (no rolling substitutions), playing 25minute halves
· 7 a-side categories can consist of 12 players with 5 changes (rotations permitted), playing 20 minute halves.
· Classification Round: The scoring system will be: win=3 points, draw=1 point; lose=0 points. With the same scoring in the Classification league, the qualifying system will be: Individual goal-average, General goal average, Team with biggest number of scored goals and Younger team considering the entered players’ age.
· Final Phase: Eliminating matches. It will be played in one match, eliminating the loser; in case of a tied match, penalties will be taken according to the F.I.F.A. rules.
