In each of the past four years, 650 boys and girls teams from 9 to 19 years in age have competed at the Virginian. These teams came from Germany, Canada, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington D.C., and West Virginia.
The Virginian is a Class I tournament open to USYSA FIFA affiliated club/league teams as well as US Club Soccer Teams and is an approved tournament of the Virginia Youth Soccer Association affiliated with USYSC, USSF, and FIFA.
